Pentagon Shake-Up Sparks Mutiny Fears as Iran War Deepens, Former DoD Insider Warns

The latest leadership purge inside the Pentagon is raising serious questions about military morale and command stability as the conflict with Iran continues to intensify.

According to former senior Department of Defense insider and whistleblower Karen Kwiatkowski, the dismissal of Army Chief of Staff General Randy George, alongside two other high-ranking generals, may reflect growing fears of internal resistance within the US military establishment.

Kwiatkowski argued that the move appears strategically timed amid the expanding war environment, suggesting the shake-up could be designed to reduce the risk of dissent among senior commanders and younger troops alike.

She noted that General George brought significant battlefield leadership and Army operational experience, making his removal especially notable during a period of active regional conflict.

The other officers reportedly removed, General David Hodne and Major General William Greene Jr, were described as key figures with direct insight into force readiness, troop morale, and the mindset of younger soldiers deployed or preparing for deployment.

According to Kwiatkowski, many within the military increasingly view the current Iran conflict as an unnecessary and legally questionable war, driven less by strategic defense goals and more by political calculations, leadership ego, and foreign influence.

She further warned that senior commanders are likely fully aware of the scale of damage suffered by US forces and regional military installations across the Middle East over the past month, a factor that may be fueling tensions within the Pentagon itself.

The remarks come as Washington faces mounting scrutiny over the regional consequences of continued strikes, with concerns growing not only about battlefield outcomes but also about possible fractures inside the military chain of command.

Analysts say any sign of weakening confidence among top generals could have major implications for future troop deployments, strategic planning, and US military credibility in the region.
